O God, listen to my cry! Hear my prayer! From the ends of the earth, I cry to you for help when my heart is overwhelmed…for you are my safe refuge.
Psalm 61:1-3

This morning’s Psalm spoke directly to my heart.
My heart is overwhelmed…with English papers and due dates, with all the hurt in this world, with uncertainties ahead, with loved little ones that we can’t hold on to…the list could go on.

But looking to HIM who is greater than all of these…
~ the One who gives me wisdom
~ the One who has overcome the world and is making all sad things come untrue
~ the One who holds the future and has a perfect plan
~ the One who watches over, protects, and loves

Thank you Father…my heart is crying out to you and you are my refuge.

98. Doing art, a warm and quiet place to create
99. “Happy dances” from J when I got my math right *smile*
100. God who guides those who trust in him

{THINK} on what is true

Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy- think about such things.
Philippians 4:8

1- being in accordance with the actual conditions, not false
2- real, genuine, authentic
3- sincere, not deceitful
4- honest, honorable, upright

Abba, fill my mind with true thoughts today. Don’t let lies in my head direct my day, but rather fill my mind with truth from your Word…thank you Father.

Still giving thanks…

The thing that draws my heart back to HIM…back to a heart of adoration, and gratefulness. I just keep counting…

1~ Her chunky legs and arms, and tiny fingers clasping mine
2~ The way she smiled when I walked back into the room
3~ Her dance moves…waving her arms, rocking back and forth, kicking her legs to the beat
4~ How sometimes she just came over, crawled onto my lap, and gave me a hug
5~ Her perfect face, shining blue eyes, tiny eyelashes
6~ Her blond hair
7~ The smiles and laughter that she brought me each moment I was with her
8~ The way her little body cozied up in my arms
9~ Rocking this baby girl to sleep
10~ The way her beauty reminded me of the Creator

The heavens declare the glory of God, the skies proclaim the work of HIS hands…

A refreshing walk with my puppy…soaking in all of His majesty in the sunset and blue sky…
